Step 1: Preliminary Meeting with JAKE CANO
We're excited to collaborate with you on your unique design project. JAKE CANO will personally guide you through the process, whether it's through in-person meetings or communication via email and phone. To help us better understand your vision, feel free to share any pictures or inspirations that inspire your design, such as jewelry, architecture, or anything else. Additionally, we encourage you to follow us on Instagram, as it will give us a better understanding of your passions and lifestyle. Don't worry if you don't have a clear vision yet, as our team specializes in creativity and can help bring your ideas to life.
Step 2: Design and Stone Sourcing
You and our Custom Design Consultant will discuss details and specifics of the desired design. We will work together to refine the design - using images or design sketches. If your design requires stone sourcing, there will be a $500 deposit. This will be used towards the final cost of the ring. You will also purchase your significant stones outright.
We will work with heirloom stones for custom projects, and we charge a $200 setting fee. We discourage clients from purchasing their own stones for custom projects, however, and we always ask that you let us quote you on stones. Most likely we will have superior stones at the best price and will work with you to choose the stone that fits with your project and your lifestyle.
Step 3: Rendering and Design Approval
We will render the final design often in CAD, to be sure it meets not only your approval, but our vision. Before we begin rendering for Model Production, we require a $250 design fee. If at any time you are unhappy with the design, you will be responsible only for the phases of the design work that has been completed.
You should anticipate signing a contract and to provide a deposit payment, which will include the full price of significant stones and at least half of the final payment, to begin production.
Step 4: Jewelry Production
Once the final design meets your approval, the jewelry then goes into production. Your item is cast, set, polished, and everything needed to bring your vision to life. All payments during the initial design process will go toward the final price. All JAKE CANO Custom Jewelry comes with a complementary appraisal for your insurance purposes.
Custom Designs begin at a competitive $2,500, exclusive of materials (metal, stones). This price includes time, project management, and production of drawings, rendering of models, production, casting, gemstone setting, polishing, and hand-finishing each piece.

Custom designs are final sales and non-refundable. From start to finish the entire process should take 6-8 weeks, subject to the specifications and/or changes in design. If you have a special deadline, please let us know. Thank you!
